Ruin watched as Howl slowly stepped aside, then expressed his gratitude, "Thank you, Immortal Patriarch."
"Spare me the fake courtesy," Howl replied, clearly irritated.
As Ruin was about to leave, he glanced at Ember. In that brief moment, he absorbed all her memories. Then, he turned to both of them and said, "Immortal Howl, as a token of my gratitude, I can help the one behind you with her troubles."
Both Howl and Ember looked at Ruin with puzzled expressions. A moment ago, he was in a hurry to leave, and now, he was suddenly offering some strange assistance.
Gathering her courage, Ember stepped forward and asked, "W-What do you mean?"
"It’s simple. After he successfully reincarnates, you can go find him. Then…" Ruin glanced at Howl.
Howl understood what Ruin was implying. By harnessing the power of the immortals, they could ensure that both Ember and her beloved could exist within a single reincarnated body. This would also allow the reincarnated soul to regain Cliffton's identity.
However, as Howl had mentioned before, their fates were already severed. They should not be able to meet again. Yet, it was clear that Ember did not heed Howl’s words. In the end, she followed Ruin’s suggestion.
Throughout this process, Howl continually sent his disciples to try and stop Ember, but they failed to stop her in the end. Ironically, Zaafea, who only knew fragments of the past, accidentally unlocked the seal within Clint when they were together, which ultimately led Ember to find him.
Harnessing the immortals' power, Ember sacrificed both her and Cliffton’s souls into Clint's body. As a result, Clint now possessed both the Sun and Moon Sovereign's power as well as the Fox Queen's power.
The two souls could switch freely, each providing Clint with immense strength. Despite the sacrifice, both souls could still roam freely. Now, Cliffton and Ember were truly free.
