Clint used the power emerging from Evelyn to track down the Reaper's location.
Eventually, everyone boarded the plane again. This time, they flew in a Divine Strategy Squadron aircraft.
Benedict piloted the plane. Though he wanted to help more, he knew his current strength would only add to the confusion.
Clint used a black hole extradimensional space to counter the Reaper's extradimensional barrier. Through everyone's combined efforts, the crisis was averted. They then returned to the plane.
"It's over." Clint sighed with relief.
Nash looked out the window at Xenith and Mosley flying, then down at Evelyn in his arms, and smiled.
"What's up?" Clint asked.
"Nothing," Nash replied, gazing outside. "I was just thinking... these kids are only around 18 and are already so powerful."
"You're talking like an old man," Clint teased.
"Haha, it's nothing. It's just my thoughts. After all these years, it's the first time I've felt like something is fading away in me—my youth."
Clint did not quite know what to say. It was true, compared to the eighteen-year-olds, they were indeed adults now.
"You don't have to be so pessimistic. Our lives are still moving forward," Clint said nonchalantly.
"Yeah." Nash chuckled.
He turned his attention to Benedict, who looked troubled. "Benedict, I noticed something was off with you earlier. What's on your mind?"
Benedict quickly composed himself and smiled. "It's nothing…"
"That's good."
Though said casually, Nash's words about feeling old struck a chord with Benedict, giving him a sense of urgency.
He realized he was not young anymore either. How much longer could he protect those around him? Would he end up like Alexander, an old monster?
