At BrightState Enterprises' headquarters in Georgeous Country, Ioan was sitting in his office chair. Now, all industries in Gorgeous Country were essentially monopolized by their company. The president of the Illuminion walked in.
The president shouted angrily, "What are you doing?! Are you crazy? That experiment ended already! Why is there still a batch of the drug in the new shipment?!"
"So what?" Ioan replied nonchalantly.
The president slammed his hand on the desk. "We have enough samples. Haven't you received orders from above?!"
"So what?" Ioan repeated.
"So what? Our current focus is the god-creation project, not this pointless work."
"Pointless?" Ioan tilted his head and looked at the president. "To me, everything you lot do at the Illuminion is truly pointless."
"What do you mean?!" the president demanded, his expression stern.
"Listen, Hart. I'm your superior now. Your job is to follow my orders. Your presidency is limited to the Illuminion. If you interfere with my plans again, I'll make sure every member of the Illuminion pays the price."
"Why, you!" Hart's body trembled with anger, his teeth grinding.
"Anything else? If not, get out." Ioan turned his chair away.
Seeing this, Hart had no choice but to storm out of the office.
For a long time, the Reaper Guild had supported the Illuminion's actions. Previously, there had been some opposition within the Reaper Guild.
Nonetheless, since the Yerusia incident where the White Reaper faction was completely wiped out, the Black Reaper faction had taken full control of the Reaper Guild.
Those people embodied the essence of ruthless businessmen. They did not care about divine awakenings or world domination. For them, even gods were just another business deal. They only cared that there was money involved.
