“Hey, familiar faces all around.”
Patricia turned toward the voice and saw Xenith.
“You!” Patricia brandished her scythe, readying herself for a fight as she eyed Xenith with extreme caution.
“Renith! Why are you here?” Patricia demanded.
Indeed, Xenith was Renith's reincarnation, but he no longer seemed to have the same ferocity as before. Seeing Patricia ready for battle, Xenith quickly stepped back.
“I-I’m here for Mos. If you want to fight, could you wait a moment?”
“It’s alright, Patricia,” Mosley spoke up. He was back to normal now.
Hearing Mosley, Patricia sheathed her scythe.
“How are things on your end?” Mosley asked.
“Not good. That monster seems to be evolving continuously. When I went to stop him again last night, he suddenly went berserk.”
Mosley sighed, realizing that things had indeed reached an uncontrollable stage. With pressure from the three elders, the best course of action now was to return to Drakonia. At least there, Evelyn would be better protected, and they would not have to worry about what was happening in Gorgeous Country.
Mosley told Xenith, “Forget about stopping him. Get ready to head back." Then, he stood up.
“Alright, I’ll go tell Nash and the others about this. You two, get ready and pack up.”
Mosley turned to Patricia.
“Patricia, you should go back to Drakonia.”
“But…” Patricia hesitated. She knew Mosley's plan, but... “Even if we escape, the elders will still find us…”
“I understand. I think you misunderstood what I meant. I meant that you all should go back while I stay here.”
