In the town of the Shadow Warriors, Alfius and Mosley entered the building. Crowds of Crows dashed toward them. However, not even that managed to stop Alfius and Mosley.
No matter what, they would place all their bets on this battle. This belief made Alfius unstoppable.
Finally, the two arrived on the top floor.
Standing before them was the leader of the Shadow Warriors with the demon sword in his hands. Surrounding him were the corpses of people wearing Crow masks.
“A bunch of losers,” the president said as he slashed his sword.
“Engulf!” Mosley hurriedly summoned a demon to shield himself.
However, in a split second, the demon sword sliced the demon in half and absorbed its energy.
“Is that Rain of the Village, the demon sword?” Mosley was somewhat panicked because all his powers were under control by that demon sword now. Even if he summoned another demon, it would just end up providing the sword with more energy.
Then, Alfius drew his sword and slashed it toward the president of the Shadow Warriors as well.
The president hurriedly struck as well.
Alfius’ strike was parried, and while the two pointed the tips of their blades at each other, a bloody-looking mouth materialized from the demon sword. It made its way to bite off Alfius’ head.
Mosley spent his energy summoning another demon that successfully rescued Alfius. However, that energy was absorbed by the demon sword too.
“This is troublesome,” Mosley muttered to himself.
Alfius gathered his strength once more and lifted his sword. He knew things were not looking good for him either.
He had over-exerted his body during the previous battle. If things continued this way, they would end up on the losing side.
“Mr. Mosley’s powers are limited, which means that Decartes, the sword that I wield, is the only one that can cause any damage now. But… what can I do? How did the demon sword produce that mouth just now? What…”
The president of the Shadow Warriors began laughing maniacally.
“You see that, peasants?! This is how you’re different from me, so you should behave yourselves and listen to me! I'll be completing my mission! Even Rain of the Village, the untamed demon sword, has bowed to me! Don’t you think that makes me the chosen one?! I am! I undoubtedly am!
“That old man! That old man was wrong! He was wrong! He was wrong! I should be next in line to rule over the Twilight Sect! I should be his master! Haha, I’ve proven him wrong! He’s wrong!”
Alfius and Mosley glanced warily at the crazed elder before them.
