My Pretty Sweetheart novel Chapter 2232

I started thinking of reasons why Hendrix was doing all of this. He must have his own reasons.

As rich as he was, he could never buy himself complete control.

I didn't need other people's judgement to know the kind of person Hendrix was.

Jordan wasn't liking my reaction.

When dealing with cunning people, the only way around it was to be more cunning than them. The more Jordan hated how much I prioritized Hendrix over him, the more I had to emphasize this in front of him.

"What's this for?" I looked at Jordan calmly, not showing a hint of distress. "What does this video prove? That Hendrix made some new friends and exchanged gifts with them? Everyone knows about this, my husband has always been an excellent man. What's such a big deal about this?" A look of surprise flashed across Jordan's face. He clasped his fingers in front of his face as he scanned me with interest. "So this is what they call true love. Pathetic."

I smirked with contempt and showed him a disdainful expression. "It's easy to despise what you can never have." "I'm afraid I've let you down. I don't need some petty arousing relationship that only hinders my rational judgment." He sounded very mellow. He looked at me as if I was prey. "Anyway, it’s you who's going on and on about how noble true love is, but look at what you've done. You've pulled Hendrix down because of your so-called true love. You did this to him. How do you feel about that?"

I had to say, Jordan really knew how to hit it where it hurts. He got all of my sore spots.

I'd be talking to a brick wall if I tried to persuade him. We were from two very different worlds. After being clear about that fact, I had to keep myself focused. "I'm not interested in discussing these things with you. Tell me where Hendrix is right now."
