My Pretty Sweetheart novel Chapter 1791

When I opened the car door and walked into the police station, a group of doctors and nurses came to the front with a stretcher. The patient was on a respirator, and the group was in a hurry to carry the person into the ambulance.

Just as I was wondering to myself what this was about, Zachary rushed out with his father. When he saw me, his expression froze. But in the blink of an eye, he acted as though he didn't see me. He rushed past me, got into a white car that was parked not too far away, and followed after the ambulance.

I roughly guessed what was going on. After I walked into the building, I saw Freya sitting across a police officer. Her face was blank, she looked even colder and more sultry than usual.

After talking with the police for a while, they figured out what had happened.

During their divorce hearing, Freya had requested that Zachary leave the house and voluntarily give up his custody over Oliver. Both parties had already reached an agreement in private, but for some reason, Zachary's parents had heard about it. The two of them had always been more traditional-minded and didn't want their grandchild to stay with Freya. So, they went to her company.

Frey a got someone to call the police, but still got interrogated by the police anyway. Before I arrived, Zachary's mother had said a lot of harsh words at Freya, but she remained unmoved, and the old lady had gotten herself worked up.

Freya didn't make a move the entire time and didn't overexert herself as well. She wasn't going to be held accountable, so I took her away from the police station after I signed her release form.

On our way out, Freya was exceptionally quiet. She kept looking out of the window as if she had a lot of things on her mind.

I thought she was worried about who would have custody over Oliver, so I reminded her, "Although Zachary's family seems more complete, you are much better off than him in terms of providing for him and raising him. Moreover, the institution values the quality of the parent. When the time comes, we can provide evidence to prove that he cheated on you, so it isn't a problem for you to gain custody."
