This matter should have solely been the Moore family's, and I should not have meddled in it. However, Freya insisted that I accompany her. Although I did not know the reason why, I dared not refuse after seeing her break out in cold sweat as she took a few steps forward. She really needed someone to take care of her.
In the living room, Pedro and Valerie were in the main seats, and I supported Freya, helping her to her own chair as the bodyguards brought in the man in question.
After a few days, Zachary was no longer the refined gentleman he used to be. His clothes were wrinkled, and there were several bruises blotted onto his gentle face, which made him look pathetic. Stephanie came along with him. Different from Zachary, there were not much changes to her appearance. But her eyes seemed tired, probably because she had been detained for a few days.
"Freya, are you alright?" Zachary asked, looking very concerned upon seeing Freya. His mistress next to him shot him a sidelong glance.
Freya's wound had yet to heal, so her body could not handle any physical stress. However, upon seeing the both of them, she straightened her body and her expression was indifferent and apathetic. It was as if this issue did not bother her at all.
Only I could see clearly the hand that she concealed next to her, how hard she clenched her fist. It showed how much agony she was in due to the severe wound on her back.
She ignored Zachary's words and glanced coldly at Stephanie, asking, "Why did you do that to me?" "I should be the one asking you this," Stephanie retorted. She had been locked up and pent up for three days, and now the lingering atmosphere was tense. She returned Freya's gaze unabashedly.
There was no difference in Freya's expression. Her lips twitched slightly and she spoke again, "Alright, then tell me, what did I do to you?"
