I was uncertain if Tobias had realized that something was wrong. Thinking of this, I was about to call my dad with the phone in my pocket.
But before the call could get through, my hand was held down. Sebastian's handsome face was mere inches away from mine as he sneered. "If I were you, I wouldn't do that. That sandalwood box is useless to you anyway. Why must you be so stubborn and go against me?"
I pursed my lips and took my hand out of my pocket. I avoided him and smirked. "If I give you the box, will you let them go?"
He raised his eyebrows. "Of course I will. You know my goal is simple. Furthermore, I don't want to hurt them. Arianna, no one is born evil."
Hearing him say that, I frowned. "If you wanted to threaten me, you know that just Naomi would have sufficed. Why do you have to bring Sonia's parents into this? They are just a pair of elderly people. They won't do you any good. Why do you have to torture them?"
He looked at me. "I wasn't trying to use them against you. It was just a coincidence. Eason owes me too much money. So I had no choice but
to invite his parents here and ask him to pay me the money as soon as possible."
I pursed my lips and asked, "Why don't you just kill that b*stard instead?" He had ruined his entire family. I couldn't understand why God allowed people like him to continue living in this world.
