My Pretty Sweetheart novel Chapter 1423

He said disapprovingly, "Why are you so worried? She's a girl after all, all she has to do is to marry a guy next door. She is going to spend the rest of her life this way. You don't have to worry about it, this is her fate. I refuse to let you guys apply for her identification papers, so you can forget about it. If you insist, just send her back instead."

I really couldn't understand what was going on in his mind. After giving it some thought, I looked at him and said, "I will pay you another fifty thousand if you are willing to apply for Abby's identification. I can see that your son is about to start high school soon. Don't you want him to have a good future? If he does well in his studies, I will offer him a job and he will become the pride of your family."

Hearing this, he was tempted. He paused for a moment and uttered, "No, my daughters are born to be sold for money..."

"Where is that b*tch? If I find her, I'm going to kill her myself!" We heard the sound of someone cursing coming through the air. After a moment, Laura burst into the house, looked at Gail and said, "Someone from the Parker family said that Susan had beaten someone to death and now she was nowhere to be found. They are coming over here for compensation!"

Gail stood up abruptly, "Beaten someone to death? Who died?"

"Who else can it be? It's the fool that she married. Close the door. They are coming here to stir up trouble," said Laura as she locked the door.

Gail frowned. A worried expression flashed across his face and his forehead was beaded with sweat. He murmured, "What should we do? Their son died and we had already used up all of the money. What are we going to do?"
