Hendrix glanced at Linda and said with a sneer, "The Milton family has been playing a good trick. No one would have thought of such a conspiracy. How smart!"
Linda frowned. Apparently, she didn't know such a place existed either. She opened her mouth and wanted to refute it, but she chose not to say anything. She couldn't find any good excuse to defend her company, since the truth was so clearly laid out in front of her.
I was silent for a moment and could not help asking, "These are all large items. Are the products that have been released abroad small?"
Rowane looked at me and said snidely, "Isn't it obvious?"
There was a hint of contempt in her words.
I didn't really care. Looking at Hendrix, I asked, "How do we deal with this now?"
Hendrix looked through the things in the warehouse and said, "Contact the reporters and lawyers. Prepare to sue the Milton Group." His face was expressionless.
Linda panicked. She stopped Hendrix and said, "Mr. Roberts, you can't destroy the bridge after crossing the river. Mr. Milton is still in Oakland and can't come back at this moment. The two companies have cooperated for so long, so you should at least give the Milton Group an opportunity to explain. This happened all of a sudden and I believe that Mr. Milton had no idea either. When the base was being constructed, everything was handed over to the architects and engineers. He never took part in any of this. I'm sure Mr. Milton didn't even know any of this was happening!"
I pursed my lips. If I hadn't experienced the events in Oakland, I would have thought of Sebastian as innocent and unknowing too. However, now, I changed my mind. I suspected that he had already been planning this for a long time now.
