My Four Miraculous Treasures novel Chapter 26

Based on the ID card, Willow was forty-five years old. However, she didn’t look like it.

Willow's heart was beating hard against her chest—she was terrified.

Fortunately, the ID card used a photo of a younger Lara, and Willow looked similar. Often, people used to say Willow looked the same as Lara in her youth.

She smiled awkwardly, and said, "Uh, I’ve been going to medical spas all year round, and I had plastic surgery. I probably look younger than the photo."

The policeman looked at her again suspiciously, and recorded the information without saying a word. Plastic surgery was common, so it was reasonable for someone in their forties to look like they were in their twenties.

Willow breathed a sigh of relief. It was a good thing she wasn’t exposed. Otherwise, she would lose her job at the Hughes Corporation.

She had a big family to support. Unemployment would cause the whole family to starve to death.

Just as her tense nerves relaxed, she felt a thorn in her back—as if hit by an icy gaze. Turning around, she saw Jasper's cold eyes staring at her.

Jasper’s gaze made her shudder. It was horrifying. She wondered if she had offended him.

Jasper's lips curled up in a sneer, and he looked away in disdain.

No wonder this woman was so desperate to seduce men. What a pathetic woman—she was obsessed with beauty and addicted to plastic surgery.

The protein on her face was all chemical fillers.

Recalling the soft and familiar sense of her skin when he touched her, Jasper felt goosebumps all over his body.

How could he be interested in artificial beauty?

With Tyson as a witness and Willow’s recording as evidence, the case proceeded smoothly.

Dale White’s claim of Willow seducing him was invalid, and there was no evidence that his broken leg was Willow’s doing. Because of this, the police released Willow.
