Willow felt danger in Jasper’s presence.
She was afraid that Jasper would break her neck if he bit her once more.
Jasper let go of her and walked towards the corridor.
Willow saw his direction, and she was alarmed. She quickly ran and stood in front of him.
“Mr. Hughes, there’s a cafe around the corner that serves good coffee. I often go there. Let’s go, it’s my treat.”
Willow was afraid that Jasper would go upstairs with her because the kids were at home.
She had to stop him because she didn’t want him to see the kids.
Willow's heart was beating extremely fast.
She looked at Jasper nervously and apprehensively.
She was scared that he would insist on visiting her house.
Jasper stared at her flustered eyes and said, “No, thanks.”
Willow's breath hitched. She couldn’t do anything to stop him now.
She was desperately thinking of other ways to stop him when he said, “It’s too late. I’ll watch you go up.”
Willow loosened up and she said hurriedly, “Alright. I’m going up now. Goodnight, Mr. Hughes.”
She turned around and fled upstairs.
Jasper was afraid that she would be in danger if she went home alone late at night.
In actuality, he was the biggest danger.
Willow returned home as fast as she could and closed the door behind her in case Jasper suddenly came up and walked in.
She leaned on the door to listen to the movements outside.
Not a footstep could be heard. Jasper didn’t follow her at all.
