When Samantha looked into the mirror, she looked pretty as before. She had put on makeup to cover her bruises.
Then, she made a phone call to her old boyfriend.
Five years ago, she had noticed Willow’s boyfriend, Xavier, was handsome and he looked reputable.
She had been attracted to him the first time she met him. So, she tricked him into sleeping with her.
She thought that she could become his girlfriend after that, but he ignored her.
She could only continue to date her current boyfriend.
She couldn’t afford to lose both.
Over the years, Xavier hadn’t deleted Samantha’s contact because he wanted to know about Willow through her.
After asking about Willow’s address and number, he ignored her again.
She had to accept that her current boyfriend, Damian Moore, was a more important catch.
She called Damian and told him that she was hospitalized.
Soon, Damian came to visit her.
He walked in with his protruding beer belly and a thick gold chain on his neck.
Samantha was lying on the bed and her limbs were bandaged. She was no longer as charming as before.
He frowned in disgust and complained, “What did you do to look like this? I don’t want you anymore if you can’t walk in the future.”
Samantha smiled to please him. “The doctor said that I’ll be fully recovered in three months. I’m so unlucky, Damian.”
