Chapter 1240.
“So, Joe must still be in Murida,” Jeremy continued.
If it weren’t for this recent information, he might have also believed that the suspicious Ned
was Joe.
This wasn’t just Skylar’s speculation. He had discussed Ned with Rowan and John, analyzing some of Ned’s information, and all of them found it suspicious.
But now, after finding out Paul’s whereabouts, it seemed to settle the doubts about Ned’s
identity.
Skylar remained silent for a while before finally saying, “I’m booking a flight back to Murida.”
She was eager to return, feeling that Joe was waiting for her to save him.
Jeremy replied, “I’ve already had people search in Murida. There had been no clues before, but now that we have information on Paul, lieve we’ll find him soon. If you can return to Murida, you’ll get updates immediately.”

Hearing this, Skylar no longer hesitated. “Alright, I’ll book a flight now.”
Skylar booked a flight for the day after tomorrow as all flights for tomorrow were fully booked,
When Janine and the others found out she was returning to Murida, they were surprised but supportive after hearing her reasons.
Skylar also promised to return in two months for Steven’s wedding.
Before going to sleep, she spoke with Gloria over the phone.
Gloria’s condition hadn’t been good lately. Although she kept her spirits up during the call, Skylar had consulted with the doctors and knew her condition well.
Whether it was to find Joe and Paul or to accompany Gloria, Skylar felt she shouldn’t stay in
Jipsburg any longer.
However, for some reason, she had a nagging feeling that she shouldn’t leave. Deep down, it was probably because she was reluctant to leave.
The city held many memories shared between her and Joe.
At 3:00 am, Skylar was woken by her ringing phone. So, she answered the call half–asleep.
“Is this Skylar? Come to my house, quickly! I suspect someone has placed something evil in my home. I’m getting crazy!” A middle–aged man’s tense voice in the middle of the night jolted Skylar awake.

Since the caller didn’t identify himself, she couldn’t immediately recognize the voice. Skylar turned on the bedside lamp and asked, “Who is this?”
“I’m Joe’s father! Come over now!” Edwin’s voice was filled with panic, but he still managed to issue a command to Skylar in a condescending tone.
So, it was Edwin.
Skylar had heard about him every now and then over the past few years.
