CHAPTER 3
Scarlett hurried up the elegant staircase which led into the central hall of the Night beam pack, which was Alpha Fletcher's pack. She squeezed through the crowd of people and finally got a view of Alpha Fletcher.-
From a close range, one could have thought the effect of his face hadn't diminished a single whit. If anything, the impact of the strong, angular planes, decidedly patrician nose, his lips, long, thin and provocatively mobile were now even more pronounced.
His hair was indeed golden brown, thick and wavy enough to form large locks; the rest of him she now decided it was wise rather not to notice. She caught his gaze, hot and piercing indeed, she turned it right before he could speak. His eyes scanned hers as a tug of emotions enveloped her, she was going to tell him all, express her feelings for him.
“Excuse us.” Alpha Fletcher card out as the guards all cleared off, leaving the two of them alone in the room.
“Alpha Fletcher, I want to tell you that ever since I set my eyes on you that I love youband–.” Just before she could finish her speech, a loud voice chimed from behind, “SCARLETT!”
Her eyes lit up as she recognized the Alpha's voice, her body froze and dared not to move, shock stroke wagers in her. She heard footsteps from behind, she knew her mate was here, her wolf yelled in excitement as they grew nearer. Her wolf urged her to turn, but she refused the urge and stood still as she looked at Fletcher's face, his face seemed to be etched in shock.
Now, she felt the two bodies at her back, their smell surging into her nostrils. The smell drove her crazy, she hardly tried to resist the urge as she tried to hide the mate bond from rubbing off its effects on her. She wouldn't allow the cruel twin Alphas to claim her, they were monsters who wouldn't stop at nothing to make her life miserable.
