Mandy looked at Damien, defeated, "Mr. Lenoir, I have to admit, you're impressive. You even managed to uncover that."

Damien offered a small smile. "Investigating you wasn't my intention. Actually, I'm a major shareholder in the Tanner Group myself. Someone's been digging into my affairs lately, so I couldn't just stand by and do nothing."

Mandy's jaw dropped. "Hold on! When did you become a major shareholder? How come I had no clue?"

Damien yawned, his gaze drifting out the window. "It's been a while," he mumbled.

Despite his five-year search for any sign of Cherise, Damien had kept an eye on the Tanner family's business. Mandy had done a commendable job running the company, but some original shareholders proved too cunning.

To help out, Damien secretly purchased shares in the Tanner Group and intervened in several financial situations. However, he kept his involvement a secret.

Mandy was sharp as a tack. One look at Damien's face, and the pieces clicked.

She pouted, marched over to Cherise's room, and flung open the door. "Cherry! You hit the jackpot, girl!"
