Chapter 1176 Mandy Nursed Colin
Lost in thought, she stood there, her gaze fixed on Colin.
Sensing Mandy's troubled expression, Cherise approached her and asked softly, "Hey, are you okay?"
Mandy took a deep breath. "Cherry, why don't you and Damien head to bed? Damien's got work tomorrow, and it's late. You both need some rest. I'm pretty much done with everything here in Yatesville anyway, so I can sleep in tomorrow. Besides, Colin got hurt because of me, so it's the least I can do to look after him."
Damien nodded. "Sounds good to me."
He got up and walked straight to the door. Picking Cherise up, who was still standing there deep in thought. He said, "Come on, let's get some shut-eye."
Cherise glanced back as they left. Mandy sat next to Colin, carefully wiping sweat off his forehead with a towel. She wanted to stay and watch, but Damien was already pulling her upstairs.
Upstairs, Cherise let out a frustrated sigh and swatted his hand away. "Seriously? You're leaving Mandy with your brother?"
Damien raised an eyebrow. "Didn't you want that?"
Cherise narrowed her eyes at him. "But I thought you said they weren't a good match?"
"How would I know?" Damien replied vaguely. "Maybe things will be different after today."
The following day, Colin was still unconscious. Suddenly, his phone buzzed, breaking the silence. It was Lennon on the line.
Mandy, practically glued to the bedside all night, jolted awake at the phone's shrill ring. Sleep-fogged, she assumed it was hers and mumbled a groggy "Hello?" into the receiver.
Silence.
Then, Lennon's voice cut through the quiet, icy and on edge. "Who are you? Why are you with Colin? It's barely six in the morning, and a woman's answering his phone? Spill it, what's the deal between you two?"
