Man With Super Medical Skill novel Chapter 3252

Afterward, Mortimer had a friendly chat with the bank governors.

All the acquired companies and factories could resume operations shortly. He just had to cover the first month's salaries. By the second month, there'd be enough profit to pay the employees and keep things running smoothly.

Suddenly, Mortimer's phone rang. It was Matthew.

"Mortimer, how's it going?" His energetic voice buzzed through the speaker. After a good night's rest, he had almost fully recovered.

Mortimer couldn't hide his excitement as he responded, "Don't worry, Matthew. We've managed to secure 30% of Dominion Bank's assets!" His voice brimmed with triumph, and Matthew could feel the excitement radiating through the phone.

"I see… Wait, 30% of the assets? Are you serious?" Matthew's voice exploded through the phone, almost causing Mortimer to wince.

"Yes, 30% of Dominion Bank's assets," Mortimer repeated. He was shocked when he first heard it, too.

Who would have thought that a mid-sized country's bank could lose nearly a third of its assets in a single business battle? If word got out, other nations would mock them endlessly.

Meanwhile, as Matthew sat in his Hulwin home, an idea suddenly sparked in his mind. "Mortimer, I need you to dig into something. Find out where the Gloam Division gets its funding."

Mortimer was taken aback but quickly understood Matthew's point.

The Gloam Division, a special department of Montiria, had expenses far exceeding usual allocations. Montiria's government funding alone couldn't possibly cover it, not with the military, border troops, and other national priorities. What would the other military leaders think if most of the funds were funneled to Gloam Division?
