Cornelia was speechless.
Marcus never made things crystal clear, so Patricia must have got the wrong end of the stick.
Cornelia couldn't explain, she just awkwardly chuckled.
As she strolled into the dining room, she spotted the two grannies. The moment she entered, their eyes zeroed in on her, particularly her belly.
She figured they must have got the wrong idea from Briana's video last night. She didn't know what to say, "Why are you guys eyeballing me like that?"
Granny Luisa said, "Oh, nothing, we're just tickled pink to see you."
Granny Rebecca said, "Marcus is such a sweetheart, giving you the day off today."
Granny Luisa said, "I've always told you, Marcus may seem cold as ice, but he's got a heart of gold."
Granny Rebecca said, "Yes, yes, your great-grandson is the bee's knees."
Granny Luisa said, "How else could he have won over our wonderful Nelly if he wasn't?"
Seeing the grannies about to launch into praises, Cornelia quickly changed the subject, "Granny, how are you feeling today? Any discomfort?"
Granny Rebecca said, "I used to feel groggy all the time, no matter how much I slept. But yesterday and today, I feel as fresh as a daisy. Could it be my anger flushed out my health issues?"
