Rosie shook her head, "It's no use. I've tried talking to him countless times, telling him to stop meddling in my affairs. I want to take care of my own stuff. But he just laughs it off, thinking I'm throwing a tantrum."

Cornelia pondered for a moment, "Maybe you could try talking to your parents, let them handle Lucas. It might have a different effect."

At the mention of her parents, Rosie shook her head even more, "My parents are the reason Lucas takes care of me."

Cornelia, intrigued, asked, "How so?"

Rosie continued, "Our families have known each other for generations. When I was still in my mother's belly, the elders of both families agreed that if I were a girl, I would be engaged to Lucas.
