After parking the car, Marcus went to find Cornelia, only to see her staring blankly at the flour on the shelf. He waved his hand in front of her, "Cornelia, what's on your mind?"
Cornelia said, "I don’t think I can finish all this, so I'm wondering if I could find someone to split it with me."
The well-to-do Marcus obviously didn't understand what Cornelia was troubled about, "This bag of flour isn't that much; you can store what's left."
Cornelia shook her head and joked, "I think I'll just buy less. I'll wait here. I'm sure there'll be customers with the same idea as me."
"You're not willing to spend that much, are you?" Having spent some time together, Marcus was gradually getting a sense of Cornelia's thought process.
Compared to others, Cornelia earned quite enough money, but was simply not willing to spend it irrationally. Perhaps because she had just bought a house and needed money for renovations.
Cornelia, "Yes."
Marcus chuckled, "I'll pay. You don't need to. Buy whatever you want; don't worry about the money."
Hearing this, Cornelia was over the moon, "Well, thanks a lot, President Hartley."
