"Senior, what is it?"
Samuel saluted back respectfully and smiled slightly. He was definitely not arrogant because of his current identity.
"Thank you for your hard work for a while. I have some fame and prestige in the Castle of Heaven Devils, so I want to prepare a feast for you and your wife on behalf of all the people in the city to show our gratitude."
Yvonne smiled gently and said, "Senior, you're too polite. You don't have to go through so much trouble."
"Madame, you can't say that. You and your husband have gone through countless hardships and dangers in order to save us. Although we haven't participated in the battle, as citizens here, we know how difficult it is to resist them."
"It's just a small token of our appreciation. Please don't stand on ceremony."
As soon as the old man finished speaking, everyone behind him nodded.
The people knew very well that it would be a close shave for the husband and wife to save them this time.
The loud explosions alone were enough to explain everything.
Yvonne glanced at Samuel and said, "Since everyone is so enthusiastic, I think..."
Samuel nodded. "Thank you."
The old man smiled gently. "Men, send the two honored guests into our ancestral hall to rest for a while. The rest of you, follow me to prepare the banquet."
"Yes."
Several young men and women quickly came up and invited Samuel and Yvonne to the ancestral hall.
The scar man didn't have time to rest. After he temporarily arranged for the members of the Polar Bears to rest, he rushed to the city defense offices to check the defense settings around.
After confirming that everything was arranged properly, the scar man dragged his extremely tired body back to the ancestral temple.
Samuel was with the three children. As soon as the scar man came back, Yvonne called the children to her and gave Samuel enough space and time.
"Are you tired?" Samuel asked with a smile.
The scar man touched his forehead and said, "Haha, to be honest?"
Samuel nodded.
"If I say I’m not tired, I am a fool. Even if I am an ox, I believe I will be half-dead from exhaustion."
