That’s right, She loved the child and the child’s father. She even loved what destiny had planned, which was ill-timed yet perfect for her. Love was a simple enough reason to outweigh the cons.
“I’m unprepared and a bit afraid to take the huge responsibility of being a mother, but I can learn to be a great one. If the child is here, it’s destiny, and I don’t want to take its life for my own selfish reasons.”
Her words moved Alexander so much that he embraced her. “You’ll be a terrific mother. The best mom in the whole wide world!”
…
Noah Richards was having his meal while most of the patrons in the buffet restaurant ate in pairs or with their families, but he was the only one having his meal alone, with not much food on his plate and a bottle of red wine before him.
He sat by the floor-to-ceiling windows and looked at the city, enjoying the view. However, his enjoyment was short-lived as the click-clack of high heels stopped near him, followed by a crisp voice. “Mr. Richards, enjoying the view?”
Noah did not even look up as he put another piece of meat onto the mini-grill.
Feeling ignored, Arianna did not back off, having expected it. Instead of leaving, she took a seat across from Noah. “It’s so boring to eat alone. Why don’t we share a table?”
“F*ck off!” He had grown accustomed to many people striking relationships with him and knew how to turn people away. He had turned countless people away, and up until now, he had been only turned away by that woman.
