"Ree, do you know what time it is? Why are you still experimenting? Even though you're back, you're rarely at home. You stay out so much that I barely see you," Maria said.
However, the voice on the other end was calm. "Even if I'm home, how often would you see me?"
"I…" Maria was at a loss for words.
Rhea was right because Maria was rarely home herself. She would go out to play cards with her friends or go shopping every day. Recently, she had been occupied with this miracle doctor and would always drop by Cameron's house.
"Then let's go shopping when you’re back. Don't spend your days stuck in the lab. What's there to do there? How can you find a boyfriend if you lock yourself up in that place? You're not young anymore; if you don't start thinking for yourself, I'd have to step in! Are there any boys chasing you right now?"
Sure enough, Maria brought up this topic again.
The call went silent, and Maria thought the call had gotten disconnected, so she checked to see if Rhea was still on the line. Just as Maria was about to speak again, a voice came through the phone. "Is there anything else? Otherwise, I'll hang up."
"Hey, don't hang up!" Maria quickly yelled. "You're like this every time I talk about your future. Besides being young and beautiful, you've just returned from overseas. You should marry into a wealthy family for them to pamper you. All these good-for-nothing men shouldn't sway you. I'll help you find a good suitor!"
