Chapter 29 

Sally was sitting next to Darren and she was startled by his sudden movement. Her face immediately turned pale and then turned around to appease Darren, “You should calm down.” 

Darren failed to calm down and his fists clenched tightly as if he was going to beat Lauren. 

“Don’t make trouble here! I don’t care if you help me or not!” Darren said. 

Lauren raised her eyes to look at him, and still said calmly, “You are just such a simple man. Do you solve problems only by force?”Darren was a little embarrassed when he heard this. He looked at Lauren and said, “Who are you? How dare you judge me?” 

“Then get out of here right now,” Lauren pointed to the door.. 

In fact, when she heard Sally’s voice, Lauren knew her and Darren’s intentions. 

But Lauren wanted to give them a chance. The moment she opened the door, Lauren had an idea: They came here because they were family but not because they wanted use her to beg Jeffery. But the truth was cruel. 

Suddenly, Lauren felt everything was very boring, and she didn’t understand why she kept staying in the Bennett family these years since they never treated her as a family member. What am I expecting? Lauren thought. 

Probably, she really looked forward to having a family. 

She knew Grandpa and Jeffery in this family loved her so Lauren wanted to ask for more. She wanted to be part of the family. But now, the illusion and expectation were finally gone, and she didn’t want to talk with Sally and Darren anymore. 

Lauren told them to leave but Sally didn’t want to leave. She came to Lauren’s room tonight, not because she hoped that Lauren would intercede for Darren and make him stay, but because she wanted to make Darren dislike Lauren and hate Lauren. 

But now, the goal had not been achieved, because Lauren saw through Sally’s intention. Darren was also a little embarrassed. 

Sally grew up with Darren since he was a child, and she knew him well. Darren was angry but he also knew today it was his fault. No matter if Lauren helped him. Darren would not hate Lauren. 

Therefore, Sally grabbed Darren’s arm and looked him with tearful eyes, saying. “Darren, do you really want to go abroad? I will be worried about you if you are out alone. No one could take care of you then. Mom and I will miss you so much.” 

Darren looked helpless and said, “Then what should we do?”

Lauren had already turned back to pack her backpack. When she looked up, she found they still standing in her room. She raised an eyebrow and picked up her backpack. 

Her backpack made Lauren easy to come and go. 

“Why don’t you leave? She walked over to them who were now standing in the doorway, “Then I have to go.” 

Sally was talking to Darren just now so she didn’t pay attention to Lauren. Now seeing this, Sally said, “Are you going to leave 

here?”
