Chapter 16 

Before Lauren arrived, Charlie went back to his room to change his clothes.. 

When Daphne came out of kitchen with deserts, she ran across Charlie face to face who was wearing a pink shirt. Daphne almost accidentally threw the plate when she saw Charlie. 

“OMG, the world was so strange!” Daphne thought. Mr. Frank wore a pink shirt! That was so weird. Although he looked still very handsome in the pink shirt, he was much different from his previous image. 

Daphne quickly put the deserts on the table and soon left in a hurry. She returned to her room to talk with another maid in the 

Bennett family about Charlie’s unusualness. 

The another maid said. “He also wore the perfume.”

The world was so strange! Mr. Frank seldom did this at home and he never wore the suit of other colors except dark. 

When Lauren arrived at the gate of the Frank family, both Charlie and Leo went out to meet her. 

Seeing Lauren, Leo instantly wanted to plunge into her arms, but unfortunately, he couldn’t break free from his father’s hand so 

he could only stand in place. 

Lauren knew Leo’s identity, but she didn’t expect that Charlie was also at home today. 

She didn’t know much about the business circle, but she often saw photos of Charlie on newspapers and magazines. Some female 

colleagues in the laboratory sometimes talked about Charlie. Such a busy person would actually stay at home to accompany his child. 

Lauren thought he must be a good man and had a good impression of Charlie. 

“Mr. Frank, it’s great to meet you,” Lauren said to Charlie.

It was so close that Lauren could smell the cologne from Charlie. 

Lauren wanted to dodge Leo, but she was afraid that it might hurt him, so she stood still in place. 

She thought Charlie would move. She remembered some colleagues in the laboratory mentioned that Charlie was handsome and 

rich but he seldom dated with a woman. Then people started to guess whether he was gay. They thought the reason why he didn’t get 

out of the closet was that he cared about his reputation and the Frank family’s. 

They even fantasized about Charlie and some male stars. Lauren didn’t care about other people’s privacy, but she had a strong 

memory and rarely forgot what she had heard. 

However, Charlie did not move, and was even closer to Lauren. 

It seemed that he couldn’t break free from a four–year–old boy. 

Being so close, Lauren could clearly see Charlie’s face. He was really handsome and impressive. 

“Miss. Bennett,” Charlie said in a low but sexy voice, “Have we met before? You look very familiar to me.” 

That was too close!
