Her Life Starts to Spin out of Control novel Chapter 134

At six o'clock in the afternoon, Sophia was wandering alone on a snack street. When she was having her dinner at a snack store, her phone suddenly rang. Sophia answered it, "Honey?"

"When did you wake up?" Colin was surprised. He thought she was still at home dealing with her jet lag, but listening to the commotion on the other end of the phone, he realized she was on a street.

"A few hours ago. After I woke up, I went outside." Sophia ate the last bite, wiped her mouth with a piece of serviette, and threw the wrapper in the garbage.

"Where are you now? I'll pick you up." Colin had handled all his work as quickly as he could, in order to spend time with her.

Sophia raised her head, and looked around. With a smile, she answered, "Well, I just saw a landmark building. It read 'The SL Group'." It seemed she was so close to him.

In the underground parking lot, Wade opened the door for Colin. After Colin got in, Wade proceeded to the driver's side and started the car.

Leaning against the back of his seat, Colin spoke into the phone, "I guess you are on the snack street now." Less than a kilometer away from the SL Group, there was a Chinese snack street, where the store owners offered different kinds of snacks and delicacies.

Surprised, Sophia asked, "How do you know where I am? Did you send people to spy on me?"

Colin chuckled. Herring had once told him that all women were foodies. It looked like his Sophia was one too.

"Of course not. You can wait for me at the street corner. I will arrive there in a few minutes."

"Okay!" After hanging up the phone, Sophia bought a cup of milk tea.

Taking a big sip, she mumbled in pleasure.

For once in her life, she could finally put aside all the hatred and troubles and be happy and carefree.

Five minutes later, a black Bentley car pulled up beside her. Wade walked out of the driver's seat, and greeted her politely, "Mrs. Li."

Sophia flashed a smile, "Nice meeting you again, Mr. Ji."

Wade opened the door for her. But when Sophia prepared to get in, she saw a big bouquet of flowers.

Smiling, Colin was holding a bunch of reddish-blue roses. Seeing that, Sophia's heart almost jumped out of her throat. She gazed at him in a daze.

Were these flowers for her?

Wearing a thin cream-colored coat and a silk scarf of motley colors, Sophia stood amazed. And in Colin's eyes, she looked beautiful even with the stunned look on her face.

In everyone's envious gaze, Colin emerged from the car, walked up to Sophia, and pressed a kiss on her lips. Then he put the bouquet of 99 reddish-blue roses in her arms.

Excited, Sophia's arms felt like jelly. She almost dropped the flowers to the ground but Colin gave her a hand. He also took the cup of milk tea from her hands.

"Sophia..." Colin called out to her with great affection, trying to reel her back from her reverie.

However, Sophia was blank. She gazed at him and nodded, not even realizing he was talking to her.

Pleasantly surprised, she almost wept. No one had ever given her so many flowers in her life.

"Sophia, do you like them?" Caressing her cheeks with his hand, Colin asked softly.

When he passed by a flower shop in the morning, he saw a couple arguing over some flowers.

The woman wanted them, but the man didn't want to spend money on flowers.

The arguing couple reminded him of his Sophia. He was wondering if she would be pleased if he bought her some.

And now she had proven to him that she would be happy.

Recovered from the shock, Sophia smiled, and wrapped her arms around his neck, "I like them very much..."

She tip-toed and kissed him.

Holding her tight, Colin locked her in his arms and kissed her passionately.

It was quite common to see lovers kissing each other in the US. Many passer-bys even whistled to them and applauded.

Also, a lot of women gazed at the luxury car with envy, fantasizing how the elegant man could be their lover.

Wade sat in the main driver's seat, trying not to stare at their intimacy.

He then took out his phone, and took a picture of them kissing.

Wade darkened the picture and turned down the contrast. Now Colin and Sophia's faces couldn't be seen clearly, but it echoed with the artistic design, emitting an romantic aura.

He logged on his Weibo account, and posted the picture online along with a text, which read, "The cold rain fell on my face, but my heart felt colder. Dared not to avert my eyes since it was my boss showing love in public."

Wade was Colin's private secretary. A number of journalists also followed him on Weibo. As he updated this new status, many of them noticed, and started asking him, who were the kissing couple in the picture. "Were they Mr. and Mrs. Li?" Some even private-messaged him.

Wade ignored all the comments and questions. He decided to leave that to their imagination.

After several long minutes, Colin and Sophia finally separated from their kiss.

Colin led Sophia back into the car, and asked, "Do you want to eat something else?"

Sophia put the bouquet aside, and massaged her stomach with a hand. Then she confirmed, "Yes, there's still some room in my stomach."

"Good. How about we dine at home? I want to eat something made by your hand." Since he saw her, Colin felt a sudden desire for her homemade food.

"Sounds great." Sophia answered happily. When she smiled, even the roses paled in comparison.

Before they headed back home, they bought some ingredients at the supermarket.

Back home, Colin retrieved a brand new apron and tied it around her. Then, he held Sophia's waist from behind, "Thank you, darling."

Sophia flashed a smile, "What are you thanking me for? It's just dinner. You can wait in the living room. I will tell you when the dinner is ready."

Colin walked back to the living room, switched on his laptop, and prepared to read some work-related documents before dinner.

But, his attention was drawn by the woman working in the kitchen. For once, he couldn't focus on work.

Sophia had washed the vegetables and put them aside. She took out a potato, and started to peel it.

Suddenly, a man hugged her from behind. Scared, Sophia almost smashed the potato on his head in shock. She grumbled, "God! You scared me."

"Hmm?" Colin kissed her, "I've heard that the kitchen is not just for cooking. Other interesting things could also happen in it."

Sophia's face flushed, "Go back to the living room! Aren't you hungry?"

Colin placed one hand on her waist and switched off the gas with the other hand. "Yes, I'm hungry, and only you could satisfy my appetite."

He turned Sophia to him, and kissed her on the lips.

"Wait! Wait a minute! Don't you want dinner?" Sophia leaned against his chest to balance herself.

Colin shook his head, "I don't want to eat dinner. I want to eat you."

"Have you no shame?" Blushing, Sophia wiped her wet hands using a towel, and pushed against his chest.

His chest felt muscular to her touch. It reminded Sophia of Wendy's words. She had once told her that Colin regularly worked-out every morning after he woke up.

He had all kinds of equipment in his gym. No wonder he kept such a good figure.

Colin saw that she was distracted and took his chance.

Sophia made her last struggle, "Don't... Not here..."

Without saying any other word, locking her in his arms, Colin embraced her.

It was nearly ten o'clock in the evening when they had dinner. And when they finished eating, Sophia cleaned up.

Then they snuggled on the sofa together, and decided to watch a movie. Just as the TV was switched on, Colin's cell phone rang in the dark. It was Wendy.

"Mother."

Wendy joyfully asked, "What are you doing, Colin?"
