London pulled out his usual boss tactics, weaving, nd vision while tossing in a tiny bonus for motivationL 

When he saw that Lily was still relictant, he started playing the victim. “I’ve defended you in front of headquarters, and now they’re very displeased with me. You’ll let me down you don’t puit in some effort. 

“It’s a small matter if you leave this job, but I’ll have to leave too! There are others out there eyeing my position… 

“I’ll go this afternoon,” Lily said, not wanting to risk being blamed for any failure. It was as if the store’s potential failure would somehow be her fault. 

Xavier probably didn’t have the time to personally supervise a group of designers measuring at Glenview Villa 

But then a worry crept in–what if Xavier had handed the villa’s renovation project over to Sarah instead? 

After all, it was a significant marital home. Were they planning to move in once the renovation was done? 

She didn’t want to see Xaver, and she definitely didn’t want to see Sarah 

At 2:00 pm, she put on a hat and mask before heading to the Glenview Villa 

Xavier’s house must have attracted a lot of designers who were vying for the project. The place was sure to be crowded, and she just wanted to stay in the background, hoping she wouldn’t be noticed. 

Ar Glenview Villa, the small yard in front was bustling with people. 

The floor–to–ceiling windows in the living room were still broken, casting darkness inside. Designers were huddled in small groups, discussing something 

The fire at the house had made headlines earlier, and people were speculating about how it could have ignited for no apparent reason. 

Lily quietly blended into the crowd, her eyes peeling from beneath her mask as she surveyed the entire villa. 

The first floor was a disaster, almost unrecognizable. The second–floor windows were stained black by smoke, giving the place a chilling, eerie vibe. 

Nevertheless, the damaged interior still faintly revealed the original design. The designers quickly shifted their attention to discussing the previous design style. “What kind of style is this?i 

“I don’t know. With Mr. Fulton’s wealth, he must have hired a renowned designer, right?” 

“Thiven’t heard of them.” 

“I know!” Nadia suddenly interjected. “Do you guys know Layla, the one who participated in the Avelon Designs Competition a while back?” 

The designers gathered around Nadia, several of them nodding in recognition 

“I saw her second–round competition entry. It was really impressive! She didn’t make it to the finals, but they still released her final entry. Honestly, I think it was just as good as the ones who made it through!”
