"Damn it," Maryanne suddenly appeared out of nowhere, hooking her arm around Lily's shoulder and pulling her into the bar.

"Why do I keep running into them everywhere? You just got divorced today, and now he's walking around flaunting his relationship with Sarah, strutting down the street like it's nothing. It's ridiculous!"

As they spoke, they entered the bar. The deafening beat of the DJ's mixes overwhelmed Lily's senses, drowning out the sorrow that had been weighing on her heart.

She let Maryanne guide her to a private room and opened the door.

Inside, Terence was sorting through a pile of strong liquor on the table, picking out a drink with a lower alcohol content that might be more suitable for women.

He glanced up when he heard the door, offering a faint smile. "Just in time. The drinks are ready. Drink to your heart's content."

"Not the right time."

Maryanne slammed the door shut, cutting off the noise from outside, and stomped her foot in frustration.

"I ran into that douche and Sarah. The media's asking them when they're having their wedding. If they really go through with it, I swear I'll crash it!"

Terence's smile faltered at her words. His gaze shifted to Lily, and after a moment, the smile completely faded, replaced by a complex expression.

"From now on, their matters have nothing to do with me. We're here to drink, so don't waste your energy on them."

Lily casually picked up a bottle of wine that Terence had chosen. The pinkish-purple liquid inside bubbled enticingly. "This one looks like the bottle you bought last time, Terence. It's pretty."

Maryanne leaned in to take a look. "You just like the sparkly ones, but they're not all that great to drink! This one, trust me, is good."

She handed Lily a bottle of a grayish-brown cocktail, highly recommending it.

"Alright. I'll try it," Lily said, accepting the bottle and pouring some into a glass. After a sip, she nodded in approval. "Not bad. It's pretty good."
