Her Heart Her Terms (Lily and Xavier) novel Chapter 315

There was a knock on the office door, and Timothy entered at just the right moment. "Mr. Fulton, the international video conference is ready for you."

"Is your work worth risking your marriage for?" Edith grabbed Xavier's hand. "Cancel it!"

"Grandma," Xavier said, glancing at his watch. "The annual meeting can't be skipped. You head home first. I'll come to see you after it's done."

Lily wouldn't go anywhere, and the meeting would only last an hour or two at most. He adjusted his suit, grabbed a document from his desk, and strode out.

Edith couldn't stop him, her growing anxiety gnawing at her. She was more invested than the person involved!

Xavier's tall, commanding figure entered the meeting room and immediately caught the senior executives' attention.

Sarah stood up to greet him. "Xavier, the guest list for tonight's company annual meeting has been confirmed. Mr. West, the head of the Research Group, will also attend. We should arrive early."

"Okay. You handle the schedule." Xavier nodded, settling into the seat at the head of the table.

His piercing gaze swept over the room. Once he confirmed everyone was present, he turned to Timothy. "Let's begin."

The projection screen flickered on, revealing several men with blue eyes and blonde hair sitting in a conference room.

Upon meeting, both sides exchanged polite pleasantries in a foreign language. The year-end video conference covered the company's summary for the year and plans for the upcoming year.

Three hours quickly passed, and as the meeting wrapped up, Xavier was the first to leave the room. He glanced at his watch—it was already past lunch.

"Mr. Fulton, Mrs. Fulton Senior said that if you don't talk to Ms. Lily today, she'll make a scene at the annual meeting tonight."
