Her Heart Her Terms (Lily and Xavier) novel Chapter 287

“No need Xavier believed that Sarali was a very clever woman, both in business and privately.

She always avoided leaving any evidence, which he had leamed well from their interactions in the business world. He understood her, and she understood him just is well.

Sarah was in a temble mood after several days of being watched 24/7.

Lawrence had asked Lily to come out for a private photo session during the third round of the competition, and now Sarah owed him a favor.

He had been messaging Sarah for several days, asking how she was and trying to find opportunities to invite her for a meal, saying he had something to ask of her. But at this point, she couldn’t afford to meet with him.

He thought she was abandoning him and that she was about to tum on him.

Lawrence called again at 8:00p.m. “Ms. Lynde, when you asked me for help, you didn’t make it this hard to communicate!”

“I’ve been busy with work recently, and with the year–end approaching, there are more company matters to handle. I haven’t been able to focus on the Avelon Designs Competition. It’s not that I’m deliberately avoiding you,” Sarah said honestly. “If you need something, just say it over the phone.”

He, however, was convinced that she was avoiding him.

But she refused to admit it, and no matter how much he complained, it wouldn’t change anything. As the vice president of Nova Group, he couldn’t afford to clash with her openly.

“I want you to help me get Nova Group to sponsor an additional five million.”

Sarah immediately refused without thinking. “I can’t help with that. I’m just the vice president of the company.”

He knew she didn’t have that much power, but he believed that if she wanted to, it wouldn’t be impossible.
