Chapter 266
Lily’s tone was him, and she wasn’t fooling around. Xavier felt a stir in his chest and looked at her.
Their eyes met, and Liby instinctively wanted to explain that the pregnancy was a misunderstanding, but then she reconsidered. There was no point in explaining so
much
The more Xavier hated her, the higher the chances for the divorce to happen.
“okay, go.” Xavier raised an eyebrow slightly. “As long as you can convince then, we’ll divorce immediately.”
His tone rose marginally, his expression unreadable, Lily couldn’t tell if he was serious. Regardless, she picked up her bag from the floor and left.
would take over an hour for a ride–hailing service to arrive on a cold winter’s day. Lily simply took the keys to the Maybach Xavier had bought her and drove off.
On the way, Hazel called several times, but Lily refused to answer.
She returned to Bayview Gardens to grab her medical insurance card and found her apartment door slightly ajar as she exited the elevator. As she did so, the sound of Harel and Bobby’s conversation reached her ears.
“Honey, the Fultons have agreed to treat Lily well in the future. I did well in this, didn’t 1? Can you please stop being angry at me already? Hazel pleaded.
Judging by the sounds, Hazel was packing up her things carefully,
Bobby sounded pleased and said, “You did well this time. I’ll get you the bag you wanted when we get back.”
“Really?” Hazel was pleasantly surprised. “Ever since our family business went downhill, I haven’t bought a 200 thousand dollar bag in ages.
“You’ve worked so hard to make money, Honey. I saw a belt worth 10 thousand the other day, I’ll buy it for you when I get the bag”
A bag worth 200 thousand dollars and a belt that cost 10 thousand. That was money that could have gone to Hayden’s treatment.
Lily listened quietly as she stood at the doorway. She couldn’t tell where Bobby got the money from. She started to suspect that they had been lying to her about the family’s financial status.
When they were done packing, Bobby and Hazel walked out and stopped in their tracks when they saw Lily standing in the hallway.
Hazel looked disgruntled until she saw the keys to the Maybach in Lily’s hand. Her eyes lit up immediately, and she asked, “Lily, have you reconciled with Xavier? Are you here to move your things back to the Fulton’s?”
“Xavier didn’t come along with you?” Bobby saw no one was behind her and frowned in dissatisfaction. “Can’t he accompany you or find someone to help when you’re pregnant? What if you hurt yourself?”
After all, Lily’s worth depended on a child. If anything happened to the baby, she was worthless.
Lily understood the underlying message in Bobby’s words, and she felt nothing but humiliation and embarrassment.

Now, every action of theirs suffocated her, constantly refreshing her understanding and opinion of them.
“I’m not pregnant!” Lily finally couldn’t control her emotions and yelled hysterically. There was so much she wanted to say. “I’m not pregnant!TM
She wanted to air her grievances and express her thoughts. She wanted to retaliate. But there was too much to say, and she didn’t know where to start.
