Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 982

Clarice adjusted her sunglasses casually and said, "This dress is clearly sabotaged. Everyone knows it's worth a fortune, with real diamonds embedded. Someone must have had their eyes on those pearls and diamonds, then planned to nick them."

Blinking, Gwen shook her head, "No way! The diamonds and pearls fell off, yes, but they're still here!"

Clarice scoffed, "If all the pearls and diamonds were stolen, wouldn't that be too obvious? Someone must have loosened the diamonds so they'd scatter when the dress was taken out of the box. Even if not all diamonds are accounted for, they could claim that the jewels just might have fallen into bushes or crevices."

Gwen immediately asked Ana, "Where was the dress kept before?"

Ana glanced at Estelle, kept her head down and said nothing.

Estelle lifted her head and said, "It was stored in my cupboard."

Clarice glanced at Estelle but didn't speak.

Gwen looked at Mr. Kress, "I trust Estelle. Nobody would be daft enough to do this."

Clarice snapped, "Gwen, you're such a saint. She slapped you and here you are, defending her! It's because she knows no one would believe she'd do this, that's why she did it!"

Gwen acted as if the past incident never happened and asked with concern, "Estelle, could you explain?"

"Of course I didn't do it. But finding out the truth will take time. This dress is unusable now. I'll pick another one for Gwen so we don't delay the shoot," Estelle explained methodically.

Mr. Kress said coldly, "Change the dress? Do you know how important this scene is to the whole play? Do you know how much the brand has spent to tailor this dress for the scene? Do you think their money grows on trees?"

Estelle calmly replied, "We could ask GK Jewelry studio to send another dress. That wouldn't affect the final result of the play."

Mr. Kress laughed, "Estelle, you're so naive. You think they would just send a dress because you asked?"

Estelle said lightly, "Gwen is the ambassdor of GK Jewelry studio. It shouldn't be a problem."
