Charlie, leading Kya, strolled in and asked softly, "Where's Josiah?"

"Josiah went to pick up his girlfriend; he might take a while to get back." Andrew replied.

They chatted and laughed as they walked towards the banquet hall.

Most of the guests had already arrived, they were all big shots from every corner of J City, the sound of clinking glasses echoed around; the atmosphere was bustling and luxurious.

As soon as they walked in, people spotted Jonathan and came over to greet him.

Seeing Kya a bit nervous, Charlie led her and Estelle to a quieter spot, and then said to Estelle, "You hang out with Kya here for a bit, find something to eat; I'll be back in a jiffy."

Estelle nodded, "I just came to congratulate Mr. Foster, I'll be leaving soon."

"No rush." Charlie chuckled, handing Kya over to Estelle, he softly said, "Kya, I'll come play with you in a bit."

Kya's big eyes were crystal clear and bright; she looked at Charlie and obediently nodded, "You better come back quick."

Hearing her, Charlie felt his heart soften, especially those bright eyes of Kya's, they reminded him of someone.

Andrew had joked that Kya's eyes resembled his, but he thought they looked more like someone else.

His tone softened even more, "Alright, I'll be back soon."

This was their first meeting, and he really liked this little girl.

Estelle put the teddy bear on the chair and took Kya to find something to eat.
