Because it was raining, Emily didn't ask Ms. Simmons to come over, opting to cook dinner herself. Estelle spent time with Kya, telling her stories.

"Once upon a time, there were three little pigs. As they grew older, their mother told them to build their own houses."

Kya looked up with wide eyes, "I don't want to leave my mom, I don't want to build my own house."

Estelle playfully pinched her little nose, "Okay, our Kya doesn't need to build her own house. Estelle will buy you a big house in the future."

Kya snuggled in her arms, "Mom, Estelle, and Kya will all live together in the big house."

Estelle couldn't help but smile at Kya's childlike words. Just as she was about to turn the page to continue the story, her phone pinged with a message from Craig.

"Estelle, did Gwen invite you to her birthday?"

Estelle let Kya play with her toys while she sat on the carpet to reply, "Yeah, she found out I'm back."

Craig texted back, "Don't go!"

Estelle raised an eyebrow, "Why?"

After a five-minute pause, Craig responded, "Estelle, Gwen has a boyfriend now. Do you know who it is?"

Before Estelle could ask, Craig quickly sent another message.

"It's Jonathan."
