Jonathan frowned, "Why would you think that?"
"Promise me, okay?" Estelle pinched his waist.
Jonathan said, "No, I can't. Maybe I could before, but I've changed my mind now. If you dare to like someone else, I'll kill him right in front of you with my own hands!"
Estelle looked up at him.
Jonathan gently touched her face and said, "Similarly, if I betray you, you can kill me too!"
Estelle shook her head subconsciously.
Jonathan softened his tone, afraid he had scared her, and said, "Seeing you every day like this is not enough. How can I not love you?"
He slowly approached her, his voice getting lower and lower as he whispered something in her ear.
Estelle's face turned red.
Jonathan picked her up and carried her to the bedroom, "Don't waste time. The night is short and you love to sleep."
Estelle held onto his shoulder, her heart gradually settling down.
Yvonne was right. But if they were always cautious and hesitant, their relationship would lose its meaning, and the feelings wouldn't be as captivating.
...
The next day, Jonathan had already finished breakfast and changed his clothes, while Estelle still refused to get out of bed.
Jonathan coaxed her into drinking half a cup of warm milk and let her continue to sleep.
They had indeed gone to bed very late last night, and he felt sorry for her.
Estelle listened to his apology and thought he was just pretending to be compassionate.
