Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 737

But things seemed to gradually exceed her expectations.

Simone was so surprised, she turned to Bennett and asked, "Who's the big spender behind all this?"

It would make sense if Estelle had paid for her birthday party at the Sapphire Hotel, but having banners all over town wasn't something that could be achieved just by throwing money around!

Bennett had a hunch about who it might be, but didn't dare to say it out loud and just replied, "How would I know?"

Carmella's eyes sparkled mischievously as she whispered, "Mom, do you think Estelle's hooked up with some rich guy?"

Although her words were subtle, her implication was clear – she was questioning whether Estelle had become a rich man's mistress.

Bennett glanced at Carmella and said calmly, "No way!"

What rich man would throw such a high-profile birthday party for a lover?

Simone complained, "What has Estelle been doing and who has she met all these years? Haven't you been in touch with her? How come you don't know?"

Bennett was annoyed, "Is Estelle only my responsibility? You don't care as her mother, and you expect me to know?"

Simone's face darkened, "What do you mean by that? I didn't ask more because I knew you were watching out for her. Besides, Carmella is already a handful for me. Shouldn't you share some of the burden?"

Bennett sneered, "Oh, please. When have you ever genuinely cared about Estelle? Today's revelations suit you just fine. Estelle won't be coming back ever again."

Simone snapped, "I don't care if she comes back or not, as long as she doesn't embarrass the Macclain family with her antics. She can do whatever she wants!"

Carmella listened to their endless bickering, her heart filled with annoyance and disgust.

Today was supposed to be her birthday, and now her mood was ruined.
