Emily hunkered down, "It's time to go home!"

Charlie tugged Emily to her feet, "Let Kya play a while longer. I have something to talk to you about."

"What is it?" Emily blinked, following him towards the office desk.

Charlie gestured her to sit on his own chair, and then proceeded to open a file box, taking out a stack of property papers to show her one by one,

"This is our home in The Royal Mansion. It's filled with our memories, so I didn't transfer it entirely under your name. I added your name instead, so now it's ours."

"This here is the villa in Maplewood Village, two sets, all for you!"

"The card has no limit, spend as you wish!"

"This car is brand new. Don't worry, it's not too flashy. It’s perfect for your daily commute!" Charlie finished, turning to Emily, "Did you get your driver's license?"

Emily looked at the pile of gifts in front of her, stunned. She turned to the man, "What are you implying?"

"No special meaning, I just wanted to give them to you. I always wanted to, but I didn't have a reason, and I was afraid you'd reject them!"

Charlie leaned against the desk, stooping down to cup her face, planting a soft kiss, "Now, you're the mother of my kid, and there's no better reason than that. So, you can't refuse."

"Charlie," Emily was about to say something but was cut off by Charlie's lips. His eyes were deep and intimidating, "I know what you're trying to say. You want to be independent, to rely on yourself, but that doesn't stop me from wanting to take care of you. We're dating, and you're obliged to accept my kindness."

"Don't think that my gifts are buying anything. When we marry, I won't demand a prenuptial agreement. Everything I own, including myself, belongs to you!"

Emily stared at him, dazed.

Charlie smiled gently, "If you have something to say, go ahead."

Emily's eyes reflected sudden realization, "No wonder so many women want to date you!"

He rubbed his forehead, "Honey, even if you regard money as nothing, and my gestures didn't move you, you don't have to say things like that to hurt me."
