Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 1715

Emily stood her ground, "I said, I'm not going!"

"Why are you so stubborn, young lady?" Ron sighed in exasperation. "Let me tell you something. One of our senior designers climbed up the ranks the same way. I won't say who but they've been raking in the dough these past years. Even bought two properties in metropolis, living a life of luxury. Don't you want that?"

"You've got the advantage, being pretty and fair-skinned, enough to catch Mr. Beck's eye. Opportunities like these don't come easy!"

Emily retorted sarcastically, "Mr. Ron, pardon me for asking, are we working for Zenith Design Group or a nightclub?"

Ron's face darkened, "Emily, I'm trying to reason with you nicely. Don't push it!"

"I can't be the showpiece that the director wants me to be. I just want to be a designer. I can't handle wining and dining clients. If you think I'm not up for this job, then I won't take Mr. Beck's project. I'll even hand over the designs I've already done!"

Ron stared at her coldly, "I'm offering you five percent of the total profit. Enough to buy a place!"

Emily's face remained defiant, "Even if you gave me all the profit, I won't entertain clients!"

Ron turned an angry shade of blue, "Emily, if you offend Mr. Beck, it's not just about losing the job. I can fire you for disrespecting a client."

Emily stood up again, "Do as you please. But I won't go. I'll be waiting for your letter of termination."

Without another word, Emily left the office.

"Foolish girl!" Ron nearly threw his mug in anger.

The next day, Ron threatened Emily again, giving her three days to decide or face termination.

On the third day, Mr. Beck called Emily himself, "Emily, there will be exquisite pieces from major luxury brands at the exhibition. I'll buy you anything you want. Just three days, and I promise not to bother you afterward!"
