Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 1694

Morrison wore an expression of helplessness. "It’s not like that. She came to see me and I wasn't here. She found the necklace and thought it was pretty, so she took it. She later texted me about it on WhatsApp."

"She came here looking for you?" A hint of severity flashed in Magdalen's eyes.

"She was preparing for the school anniversary performance and asked for my help in deciding which song to sing," Morrison explained.

A sarcastic laugh escaped Magdalen. "If things keep going this smoothly between you two, what's next? Sneaking into bed while I'm not around?"

Morrison's face darkened at Magdalen's taunt, uttering blandly. "Magdalen, I'm not interested in Antonia and I won't betray you. You know this very well."

"You might not be interested in Antonia, but do you know she's interested in you?" Magdalen questioned.

Morrison hesitated before replying, "Yes, I know."

"So what? You're fully aware of her feelings, yet you continue to indulge her. You let her take my necklace, helped her choose songs, allowed her to use your private suite. What are you trying to do? Does flirting with a young girl amuse you?"

Morrison's expression turned solemn. "Magdalen, you know I'm not that kind of person. The Crawley family asked me to look after Antonia, and I've been trying to maintain my distance!"

"This is your idea of maintaining distance? What would it look like if you weren't?" Disappointment filled Magdalen's eyes as she looked at the man before her. "Forget it, I don't want to argue with you. If you want to rescue Antonia, go ahead. Don't worry about me. But let me make this clear. If she dares to mess with Ella, I won’t go easy on her!"

With that, Magdalen turned and walked away.

Morrison quickly followed, reaching out to grab her arm. "Magdalen!"

Magdalen swiftly sidestepped him, retreating several steps and glaring at Morrison callously, "Don't make me despise you. I can love you with all my heart, but I can also break up with you in an instant. And you'd better not pester me. You might not be able to handle me."

A cold look settled on Morrison's handsome face. "You accuse me of having ambivalent attitude toward Antonia. Do you even care? If Antonia hadn't upset Estelle, would you have even noticed Antonia? Do you care about me at all?"

Magdalen stared at Morrison, stunned. "Turns out we do have a lot of problems between us. I just didn't want to face them. We both have complaints about each other, but we've stopped communicating. We're letting the gap between us grow."

Magdalen took a deep breath. "Maybe we should take a break and reconsider our relationship."
