Emily kept her gaze down and stayed silent.

I know you were in a relationship with Charlie for some time, so if you need financial or any other form of compensation, just let me know. I'll definitely meet your requirement."

Emily concealed the deep pain in her eyes and tried to remain calm, "Mr. James has helped me a lot, and I don't need any compensation."

"Are you sure you don’t need anything? You're a single mother, and your family won't help you. Right now, you can just ask, and you and Kya can live comfortably for the rest of your lives. You should consider it. You don't need to prove your pride, I won't look down on you, and I won't tell Charlie," Mrs. James sincerely said.
