Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 1595

Magdalen gently pushed him away, a soft smile playing on her lips. "Antonia just rang for you. I answered."

Morrison raised an eyebrow, his expression hidden behind his gold-rimmed glasses. "What did she want?"

"She wanted you to accompany her to the charity concert this weekend," Magdalen said casually.

"And what did you say?" Morrison asked.

Magdalen smirked, "I told her we'd both go with her. We could even get some banners to cheer her on."

Morrison chuckled, "Sounds good."

"Yeah, I thought so too. But she didn't seem too thrilled and hung up rather quickly," Magdalen said, her eyes narrowing into a playful smile.

Morrison didn't say anything in response. Instead, he murmured, "If she doesn't want us to show up, that's fine. I wasn't free anyway."

Then he leaned in to kiss Magdalen.

She pushed him away again, "I haven't freshened up yet."

"I kissed you this morning already," Morrison mumbled, pulling her back into bed without any further discussion.

It rained throughout the weekend, only letting up on Monday.

In the afternoon, Charlie returned home, heading towards his apartment building when he heard someone call out, "Mr. James!"

Turning, Charlie saw an old man with white hair standing a few meters away, smiling obsequiously at him. "Mr. James, do you remember me?"

Charlie looked at the man and it suddenly clicked.

Shawn was Emily's father. They'd met once at The Royal Mansion where he had swindled Charlie out of ten thousand dollars, causing Emily to lose her temper.
