Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 1554

At the Velvet Spring Hotel.

By the time dinner wrapped up, it was nearly midnight. The Horizon Enterprises team was itching for a dip in the hot springs, but Charlie managed to dodge it with an excuse.

Glancing at the time, he figured he'd probably wake Emily if he went back now. So he asked the waiter to book him a suite upstairs and headed off to catch some Z’s.

When he got to the twenty-second floor, he saw a woman waiting for him right in front of his room. She was wearing a black spaghetti strap maxi dress, her wavy hair cascading over her shoulders. She leaned against the wall, oozing an irresistible allure under the dim light.

This woman was Gloria, the PR manager of Horizon Enterprises. She'd been toasting Charlie all through dinner, and her intentions were as clear as day.

"Mr. James!" Gloria leaned against the wall, half-drunk, her captivating eyes filled with anticipation. "I have a terrible headache, and I can't find my room card. Can I crash at your place for a bit?"

She batted her eyelashes, looking both sexy and adorable. "I'll only stay for a bit, and I'll be out before dawn!"

Charlie chuckled, cool as a cucumber. "I'll call the front desk and book another room for you, Miss Gloria."

"Mr. James!" Gloria staggered over, losing balance and falling right into Charlie's arms, grabbing onto his tie and looking up at him. "Don't you get what I'm hinting at?"

Charlie removed her hand and gently pushed her away against the wall, whispering, "Tell Mr. Walton, I don't appreciate these tactics from my business partner's staff. It's unprofessional."

Gloria's eyes sparkled with seduction. "This isn't Mr. Walton's idea. I just sincerely like Mr. James."

Charlie's smile was a bit frosty. "Then you're risking our partnership. I doubt you'd want that on your shoulders."

Gloria was taken aback and about to apologize when her gaze landed on a young girl in the hallway. Their eyes met, and the girl quickly looked away, seeming unsettled.

She curiously watched the girl until Charlie followed her gaze and saw the girl too, Emily Sullivan.
