Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 1540

"Please don't tell the manager! Can you lower the compensation a bit? I'm not from here. All my earnings go to my rent; I really don't have that much money!" The waitress was on the verge of tears.

"I don't care, stop beating around the bush and transfer the money now!" Daisy urged, glancing at the crowd gathering around them and worried about a call from Xavier.

The waitress, who looked no more than twenty, was visibly frightened and pleaded in a low voice, "Can we settle for three thousand dollars? That's all I have."

"Three thousand?" Daisy scoffed, about to walk away. "I'm done talking. I'll just go directly to your manager."

"Please, don't talk to my manager. I'll lose my job!" The waitress pleaded helplessly, "Can I give you an IOU? I'll pay you back when I get my wages."

"No way! Go borrow from your friends if you have to, and make it quick!" Daisy snapped impatiently.

"I'll help her pay it back!"

Norah stood up and walked over, stopping the waitress, who was about to make a phone call. She smiled at Daisy and said, "How much for your dress? I'll buy it!"

"Who are you?" Daisy eyed Norah. Although she couldn't tell the brand of her clothes, they were finely made and obviously expensive.

Anyone who could afford to come to the 9th Mansion wouldn't be poor.

Norah gave the waitress a glance and smiled. "I'm her friend."

The waitress stared at Norah in shock but saw her winking conspiratorially.

Daisy didn't care if Norah was really the waitress's friend. As long as she was willing to pay, she was fine with it. "Six thousand five hundred dollars, not a penny less!"

"When I overheard you earlier, you said the dress was six thousand eight hundred dollars. If I'm buying it, I'm paying in full, not leaving you short!" Norah took out her phone and transferred the money. After paying, she showed Daisy the screen, "Six thousand eight hundred dollars."
