Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 1508

Bennett was skeptical about Simone's view.

He believed Carmella should take a cautious approach to gradually build up her popularity, but Simone was so overbearing that he dared not refute him.

"By the way, some client payments were delayed this month and the company's liquid assets are in a bit of a pickle. Could you talk to Carmella and see if she could cough up some dough to help me out?" Bennett switched the topic.

"Deal with this petty issue yourself and talk to Carmella," Simone replied while taking selfies.

Bennett nodded and headed towards Carmella's room upstairs.

He knocked and entered Carmella's room. Carmella got up and came over with joy, "Dad, I'm a superstar now!"

Bennett repeated the conversation he had with Simone to Carmella, but Carmella didn't care and looked displeased.

Seeing that Carmella was reluctant to listen, Bennett didn't say any more. He just explained that he wanted Carmella to help the company through the tight spot.

Carmella's expression changed. She laughed and said, "Of course. You've helped me out of a bind many times. Now it's my turn to return the favor."

Bennett was very happy, "Simone was right. You're a capable good kid!"

Carmella's smile was even sweeter. She pulled out her phone and said, "I'll transfer thirty thousand dollars to you right now!"

"Thirty thousand dollars?" Bennett's smile froze.

For a big company, thirty thousand dollars was a drop in the bucket!

"Is it not enough? Dad, I don't have much money. This is almost all I have!" Carmella was indifferent.

Due to the popularity of Beauty's Wardrobe, Carmella's income had increased. After signing the contract with Visionary Studios, she took on four advertisements and participated in two variety shows. Her income had exceeded a million dollars, but she didn't want to give that money to Bennett.

After all, she had worked hard for it. Why should she give the money to someone else?

Bennett said he wanted to borrow her money to tide over the crisis, but who knew if he could repay her?

She could spend some money to buy a gift for Simone or Bennett, but giving them her entire assets? She wasn't that stupid!
