There were quite a few cameras in this area. Connie acted there without considering the consequences, just wanting to give Leo a hard time.

Maja approached the man in charge of one of the cameras, but he beat around the bush and wouldn't hand over the footage from that night.

"Did someone order you to do this?"

The man immediately bowed his head and said, "I'm sorry, the footage has been deleted. All the footage from that night has been wiped clean. You're a step behind."

Maja didn't buy it, so she checked the other cameras, only to find they had indeed been wiped clean.

She felt a pang of disappointment and immediately realized that it was Ian's people who did it.

She glanced around, hoping to spot a camera they might have missed, but there was none.

If Ian's people were behind it, they would have done a thorough job.

When Maja got back to her car, she gripped the steering wheel tightly.

Her heart was racing, and at this moment, Connie called.

"Maja, I heard you were checking the surveillance?"

"My cousin had the surveillance deleted a while ago; you won't find it. I'm at Raymond Mansion right now; do you want to come over and talk?"
