Then she signaled her bodyguards.

"You guys, bring her over."

Two guys approached Maja, who promptly whipped out her pepper spray and sprayed them in the eyes.

As the bodyguards howled in pain, she took off down the hallway. But when she turned the corner, she ran straight into a man's arms. It felt oddly familiar.

She didn't have time to ponder, wanting to keep running, but she was held back.

"What are you running from, troublemaker?"

It was Ian's voice.

At this point, the bodyguards had caught up with him.

But these bodyguards only worked in the entertainment industry, and since Ian's face hadn't been plastered all over the gossip columns, they didn't recognize him.

They reached out to grab Maja, shooting off some nasty words at Ian.

"You'd better step aside; this girl's been chosen by Mr. Paisley for tonight."

Ian's eyes reddened slightly, and an aura of authority radiated from him.

He held Maja tight, gritting his teeth. "Who the hell is Mr. Paisley? Maja, what's going on?"

He was too furious to continue.

"Explain yourself! Where the hell did you pick up this guy?"

Maja was speechless. Could his mind work properly at this moment?

Ian cut her off coldly: "Or are you really that desperate?"

Just as he finished his sentence, a chubby man came running over, his face jiggling with excitement.

Maja quietly told him, "That's Mr. Paisley."

Seeing Colin, Ian raised an eyebrow. Now it all made sense.

The bodyguards reacted like dogs finding their master when they saw Colin.
