He focused on the files before him and said, "You better cut all ties with her."

Nathan didn't dare to respond.

When he was left alone in the office, Ian thought of Samuel and Beck, two troublesome guys he had to deal with. And then there was that actor, Shawn.

The more he thought about it, the angrier he got. Why were there so many men around her?

He thought of how he used to be her legitimate husband, and now he had to line up like everyone else, which was a real kick in the gut.

He couldn’t help but call Samuel.

Samuel had just had a spat with Ian. Although he knew better than to tick him off, he couldn’t resist taking a dig at him when he answered the call.

"Hey, isn’t this Maja’s ex-husband?"

"When did you find out that Penny was Maja?"

Ian completely ignored his sarcasm. This man always managed to belittle Maja's husband in front of him. Clearly, he knew about her identity a long time ago. But how long ago?

"Ah, I really can't remember; it was ages ago."

Ian’s expression turned stormy, and he spat out in a cold, low voice, "What have you got to be so smug about?"

Samuel knew he had ruffled his feathers and was absolutely delighted.

"Maja’s ex-husband, I have plenty to be smug about. After all, Maja told me herself. But, you only found out under such circumstances. If it wasn’t for Holden that day, she might have continued to keep you in the dark."

Ian hung up the call.

Samuel looked at his phone and burst into laughter.

But as he laughed, he felt a pang in his heart. He sincerely hoped Maja wouldn’t agree with Ian; he didn’t want her to make the same mistake again.

That call from Ian left him with a chip on his shoulder.

Then he heard from Jeff that all the top agents they sent to Star Movie Group were rejected by Maja. She had no interest in his olive branch.

"Who is she meeting tonight?"

"Elvis, the top agent who’s currently in the middle of terminating his contract with Simstar Entertainment,"

"Send me the address."

He was going as well.

"Mr. Raymond, there’s an important meeting tonight."

"Postpone it."

Jeff couldn't help but find it amusing. He was used to seeing Mr. Raymond as all business, but now he was repeatedly pushing off meetings for Ms. Penny.
