If you can't even trust her in this, then what kind of affection do you claim to harbor? Maja hardly ever mentioned your affairs to me. When you two were first getting involved, I always advised her not to fall too deeply for you, considering the other women in your life. She assured me she wouldn't allow herself to fall into that trap. Carol could hardly hold back her tears at the mere thought of Maja being in trouble.
